Job summary

The Finance Manager and Strategic Financial Analyst at the University of British Columbia provides analytical support for strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making across the Okanagan campus. Qualifications

• Minimum undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• CPA accounting program completion (CA, CGA or CMA).
• Minimum of seven years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with enterprise financial systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develops short and long-term financial plans to support portfolio and campus objectives and coordinates annual budgets.
• Advises portfolio leaders on financial strategy and best practices, and evaluates financial effectiveness for improvements.
• Leaves and manages financial reports and dashboards from transactional details to executive summaries.
• Supports strategic initiatives through research, analysis, modelling and synthesis of findings.
• Collaborates with stakeholders across the university to gather information and support analytical requirements.
