Job summary

Everguard Fire Safety is seeking a Controller to provide strategic financial leadership and stewardship across multiple locations in Canada. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will oversee accounting and payroll, drive governance, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning to support sustainable growth and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• CPA designation in good standing.
• Progressive accounting leadership experience.
• ASPE knowledge and internal controls.
• Experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ability to lead accounting and payroll teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze variances against budget and forecast.
• Maintain accounting records and internal controls.
• Manage month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare financial reporting for decision-makers.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Collaborate with leaders to improve performance.
