Job summary

The District of Squamish is seeking an experienced leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as the Director of Facilities, Sustainability & Real Estate. This exempt, full-time role directs long-term civic facility planning and asset management across real estate portfolios, with strategic oversight of the Sustainability team to advance environmental stewardship and climate actions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and/or advanced certification in Engineering, Architecture, Facility Management, Real Estate, Sustainability or a related field
Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred
Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in facilities, real estate, infrastructure, asset management, sustainability, or a related field
5 years of senior leadership/management experience leading multidisciplinary teams, budgets and complex organizational initiatives
Experience managing in a unionized environment is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Lead long-term civic facility plans for the District of Squamish.
Oversee the District's facility-related asset management program and real estate portfolios.
Provide strategic oversight for the District’s Sustainability team and climate action initiatives.
