Job summary

Canadian Dental Services Corporation is seeking a commercially minded Procurement Specialist to join our national team in Toronto. You will work across our network to source and manage suppliers, balance cost with quality, and support clinic needs with the right products and equipment.

You will collaborate with Practice Managers, Operations, Finance and suppliers, bringing strong business acumen, analytical ability, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, vendor management, dental operations or a related area.
• College diploma or university degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration or related discipline.
• Dental clinical experience and/or CDA/RDA, CDA II, RDH or similar credentials are a strong asset.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, relationship-building and communication skills with the confidence to work across clinical, operational, financial and supplier stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
• Experience with procurement platforms, workflows and accounting concepts preferred.
• Experience in a multi-location healthcare operating environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing, Spend & Vendor Management: analyze spend and trends to identify savings and standardization opportunities.
• Conduct RFQs, supplier comparisons and evaluations; negotiate pricing, rebates, terms and service levels.
• Manage key supplier relationships and periodic business reviews; monitor incentives and commitments.
• Identify new tech and AI opportunities; support evaluation, piloting and implementation via data analysis.
• Monitor market pricing and supplier developments; identify consolidation opportunities.
