Job summary

Compass Early Learning and Care (CELC) is seeking an Organizational Lead – Communications to steward our organization’s communications and information systems, ensuring accessible information and a connected, supported workforce. The role advances our mission across multiple channels and audiences.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to shape messaging, maintain brand integrity, and evolve information systems in line with CELC’s vision framework and values of inclusion and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience working in a communications position.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Solid understanding of effective marketing strategies.
• Leads with a Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion lens.
• Local community connections and networking.

Responsibilities

• Stewards organizational messaging and communications strategy aligned with CELC’s vision framework.
• Develops and maintains consistent information systems and website review/implementation process for accuracy and accessibility.
• Builds relationships across teams and with families, CELC members and community partners.
• Collaborates with IT lead to develop an organizational technology strategy.
• Acts as privacy officer and oversees information security and privacy practices.
• Supports grant proposal opportunities and advocacy efforts.
