I am currently recruiting an Operational Buyer for one of my clients, a manufacturing company in Repentigny.
Reporting to the Purchasing and Logistics Manager, you will:

1. Research, qualify, and integrate new local and international suppliers
2. Research and identify innovative suppliers capable of meeting technical and development needs
3. Evaluate and qualify new partners based on total cost, quality, lead time, and innovation
4. Negotiate commercial terms, framework contracts, and confidentiality agreements
5. Support the engineering team in new product development (R&D) projects
6. Analyze short- and long-term strategic sourcing needs
7. Monitor market developments, trends, and technological innovations
8. Participate in supplier risk management and implement mitigation plans
9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of sourcing processes
10. Evaluate supplier performance and coordinate audits as required
11. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and environmental standards

Skills required:

• Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in strategic sourcing, ideally in a manufacturing environment
