About the role
Reporting directly to the President and CEO of AIG Canada, the Senior Business Manager is a key member of the leadership team responsible for influencing our profitable business growth by ensuring the implementation and evaluation of business line, country, and cross-regional strategies and performance objectives. Drawing on strong understanding of business strategy, drivers, and competitive landscape, this role will be empowered to help measure performance and support portfolio management, strategy, and execution using insights derived from the analysis of AIG exposure, claims, operational and financial data, as well as data sourced from third parties, to ensure AIG Canada develops and executes on its growth and profitability goals through underwriting excellence and market leadership.
The ideal candidate will blend communication, solid analytical, project management, and influencing skills, with strong business acumen, decision-making process, and a knack for using data, analytics and KPIs to uncover opportunities for adjustment or improvement. This person will be an important liaison acting on behalf of the President & CEO, Canada, constantly looking for ways to increase collaboration and integration across Canada and North America in pursuit of One AIG goals.
The role will have a Business Analyst as a direct report.
How you will create an impact
Engage and collaborate effectively with business and functional leaders across Canada, to articulate a shared vision and support action plans to deliver market-leading performance.
Assist the President & CEO, Canada, in tracking key strategic initiatives, communicating, marshalling resources, facilitating execution, identifying and proposing corrections and tactical initiatives as needed, and measuring results.
Oversee with FP&A regular business performance and ad-hoc reporting, including defining, compiling, analyzing, and / or synthesizing data Monthly Reporting to NA Leadership.
