Job summary

Wonderbrands, a leading Canadian bakery, seeks a Production & Materials Planner in Sudbury, Ontario. You will coordinate bakery production schedules, monitor inventory accuracy across materials and finished goods, resolve system discrepancies, and collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate production reporting.

Reporting to the Bakery Leader, you will back up the Production Planner during vacations, drive cycle counts, and work with Central Planning to manage run-out plans and material

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong inventory management fundamentals and analytical abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in materials/operations management or equivalent.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to meet schedules and targets.
• SAP experience is an asset for systems-based planning.

Responsibilities

• Schedule bakery production based on central planning guidance.
• Perform cycle counts of raw materials and packaging items regularly.
• Improve bakery-wide inventory accuracy to 98%+ for FG, SFG, RM & PM.
• Monitor expiring materials and coordinate with Central Planning for Run Out plans.
• Address FG discrepancies between EWM and SAP; escalate chronic issues as needed.
• Support PPW visibility from bakery outputs to the supply chain CI team.
• Ensure accurate reporting of mixes and FG production numbers; escalate anomalies.
• Provide back-up coverage forProduction Planner during vacations.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
