Job summary

First National Financial seeks an Associate Director, Commercial Financing in Toronto to grow and manage its commercial mortgage portfolio. You will analyze financials, oversee underwriting, and coordinate with investors, clients, and third-party consultants to deliver loan solutions.

The role requires senior experience in CRE lending, strong financial analysis skills, and the ability to lead a team while ensuring AML compliance and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial real estate lending is a must.
• Undergraduate Degree and/or MBA with focus in a Finance/ Real Estate related discipline.
• 6-7 years’ experience in a relative commercial real estate role.
• Knowledge of applicable real estate lending regulations is a must.
• Experience in financial analysis (i.e. balance sheet, income statement).

Responsibilities

• Oversee underwriting and loan commitments for commercial mortgage deals.
• Analyze rent rolls, operating statements and financials to size loans.
• Coordinate with investors, legal teams and third-party consultants.
• Mentor and train junior analysts.
• Review appraisals and environmental reports for compliance.
• Support AML adherence and documentation.
