As a Strategic Advisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our senior executives. As a key member of our executive office, the Strategic Advisor provides high-level support in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the efficient coordination of priorities across the agency. This role involves managing the distribution of tasks among internal and external stakeholders, preparing and reviewing briefing materials for senior leadership, and supporting the strategic direction of the branch.

Whether it’s supporting the agency’s deliverables, offering hands-on help to colleagues, or advising senior management on various issues, your work will make a direct impact on the success of the Agency and its ability to preserve and share knowledge in support of Arctic science.

  • Isolated Post Allowances (IPA) : The total amount of these allowances will normally fall between $5,779 to $48,000 per year depending on the work location and the number of eligible dependents.
  • Vacation Travel Assistance (VTA) : The vacation travel assistance payment is provided twice per year to the employee and each eligible dependent. The VTA rates are updated every 6 months and rates vary for each work location.

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE

EX1 : Experience working in an executive

  • level office.

EX2 : Experience in managing the distribution of tasks within a branch / organization for various internal and external stakeholders.

EX3 : Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities.

EX4 : Experience preparing / reviewing briefing materials for senior management

EX5 : Experience planning, coordinating, and managing events and meetings for internal and external stakeholders, including governance or board meetings.

EX6 : Experience in managing human resources, including assigning work and managing performance.

  • Executive and Senior Management are defined as Director General (or equivalent) and above.
