Qualifications

Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a professional and safety-focused Straight Truck Driver based out of Dartmouth, NS. This position is ideal for drivers who enjoy local and regional deliveries while providing exceptional customer service. Drivers will be responsible for the safe and timely pickup and delivery of freight using a straight truck, ensuring shipments are handled professionally and delivered on schedule.

What You'll Do

• Operate a straight truck in a safe and professional manner.
• Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries within the city and surrounding regions.
• Load, unload, and handle freight safely and efficiently when required.
• Verify shipment details and ensure accurate completion of transportation documentation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Use handheld scanners and mobile devices to track freight movement.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and required transportation records.Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal personnel, and customers.

What You'll Need
