Job Title: Storyteller and Content Creator
Department: Marketing and Recruitment
Location: College Drive Campus – North Bay, ON
Status: Permanent Full-Time
Pay Range: $36.29 – Payband H

Qualifications:
- Three-year Diploma/Degree related to Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Production, or related field
- Minimum three years of recent, practical and extensive experience in storytelling and content creation, communications or a related area within a complex organization
- Advanced photo composition, lighting/set up and editing skills
- Advanced video editing skills
- Advanced knowledge of digital marketing, content marketing and social media marketing
- Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Demonstrated experience creating content for various social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, etc.)
- Ability to analyze trends and provide recommendations for content creation to promote Canadore
- Impeccable written communication and presentation skills (writing samples will be requested)
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting the development and implementation of brand standards and visual identity guidelines
- In-person, on-campus position. Must be able to reliably commute to North Bay, ON

Responsibilities:
- Create strategies and organic content designed to leverage and optimize Canadore’s profile within public and digital spaces
- Create content in various formats (video, photo, audio, etc.) and manage the creation process from start to finish
- Produce and edit highly creative written and visual content for the College’s websites and social media profiles, as well as community outreach, government, and media communication channels
- Produce and create engaging content for various social media channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter
- Identify media trends, evaluate effectiveness of communication plans, and recommend new or revised strategies, tactics and methods
- Identify specific or unique communication delivery channels needed for collaborator groups
- Develop meaningful strategies that enhance public awareness for various marketing campaigns
- Assist with development of the social media calendar ensuring consistent content is posted daily on all channels and are of high quality that meets brands standards
- Analyze content success and implement changes when needed to ensure content is evolving and elevating the Canadore brand as a leader in postsecondary education
- Support the Marketing Team with digital ad creation
- Respond to government decisions and identify opportunities to promote Canadore as a leader in the education and public services sector
- Track and respond to relevant news, developing a distinct voice on all channels, and assist in drafting creative content that will engage key collaborators/interested parties
- Implement and manage content creation procedures and processes, evaluating existing practices and opportunities for improvement
