An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Stores I professional to manage the logistics of hospital supplies and equipment. This role involves picking, packaging, and shipping orders while ensuring compliance with guidelines. As a Stores I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment, and/or food in accordance with AHS guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance, and communicate frequently with stakeholders to ensure the appropriate and correct quantity of supplies are available. Additionally, you will track and report on inventory to prevent overstocking.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275 kg. Must be capable of walking and/or standing for long periods. Must regularly use hands and arms to reach, lift, and carry items up to 25 kg.
Must be competent in a computerized Windows environment. Must have current and relevant inventory management experience or education. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to understand and follow complex and detailed instructions. Capable of performing basic mathematical functions with high accuracy. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, working safely and maintaining confidentiality. CSA Certified Safety Footwear is mandatory.
