Job summary

A leading company is seeking a Part-Time Stores Clerk to assist in inventory management and instrument preparation for sterilization. This temporary position offers a pay rate of $27.48 to $30.54 per hour and requires a Grade 12 education. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills and a working knowledge of MS Office. Job Summary:
Under the direction of the full-time Procurement Agent, and under the general supervision of the CFO, the Part-Time Stores Clerk assists in maintaining stock/inventory (for specific units) and prepares instruments to be sent for sterilizing at Riverside Health Care. This position will be a 2-month contact with the possibility of extension, based on need.

Requirements:

  1. Grade 12 education or equivalent and ability to do basic mathematics.
  2. Must have a strong working knowledge of computers (MS Office software and Great Plains Dynamics).
  3. Previous experience with record keeping and documentation.
  4. Capable of meeting the physical demands of the position.
  5. Knowledgeable re: WHMIS, Hazardous Goods, Occupational Health & Safety, Infection Control, Disaster and Fire Plans.
  6. General knowledge and understanding of the hospitals operations, departments, policies, and regulations and procedures that govern the hospital activities.
  7. Familiarity with common inventory items for Medical/Surgical, Housekeeping, Laboratory, and Physiotherapy usage in a hospital environment.
  8. Must be organized and excellent at time management.
