Job summary

A healthcare provider in London is looking for a Storekeeper to manage inventory, perform shipping and receiving tasks, and use barcode scanners. Candidates should have a Secondary School Diploma, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to meet physical demands. Experience in logistics and familiarity with Forklift Class 3 are preferred. This position is part-time with a competitive hourly pay rate.

Salary Range: $27.53 - $27.86 /hour

HMMS is a joint venture between St. Joseph's Health Care London and London Health Sciences Centre, operating since 1997, providing consolidated functions of Sourcing, Contract Management, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Logistics, Supply Chain Systems, and Inventory Management for London Hospitals and healthcare organizations throughout Southwestern Ontario.

HMMS operates 24/7 with Storekeepers performing supply chain functions at London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Health Care London. Duties include shipping/receiving, cycle counting, inventory, and stock replenishment on clinical supply carts. Storekeepers use barcode scanners and computers for daily tasks.

Essential Qualifications
  • Secondary (High) School Diploma
  • Good oral & written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Health and physical condition suitable for heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, walking, and standing
  • Demonstrated organizational ability and self-direction
  • Familiarity with Forklift Class 3 and successful certification within six months of start date
  • Database computer experience
  • Knowledge of Safety Culture in a Healthcare Setting in compliance with OHSA
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in Inventory Control/Logistics
  • Proficiency in French (asset)
Immunization Requirements
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19, and influenza
  • Provide documentation of Tuberculosis skin testing
