Store Systems and Administration

The individual in this position is responsible for the administrative functions of store operations, cash room, and the integrity of store-level pricing. You will report directly to the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager.

Responsibilities include:
Store Systems
  • Maintain store hardware systems, including point-of-sale systems, operational software, and communication networks.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment (e.g., cleaning MSR hardware).
  • Perform regular system backups as per established procedures and schedule.
  • Serve as the primary store contact with the Information Technology department, including problem reporting, resolution, and systems/software deployment.
  • Maintain Problem Incident Report logs.
  • Print in-store signage and place it accordingly.
  • Maintain store pricing throughout the store.
Store Operations
  • Manage store funds, including cash, stamps, LD gift cards, coupons, and other assets.
  • Count store funds and prepare bank deposits.
  • Administer point-of-sale charity fundraising programs (e.g., hospital lotteries).
  • Handle administrative functions of the point-of-sale system (e.g., manager override numbers).
  • Administer Transit Passes and Lottery Tickets programs (where applicable).
  • Manage other programs as assigned by the store manager or head office (e.g., employee uniforms, lockers, bulletin boards, supplies).
Customer Service
  • Support the company mission: “To Provide a Superior Shopping Experience Every Day”.
  • Provide prompt and efficient customer service based on the 10/10 Sales Challenge philosophy.

You should exhibit strong administrative, technical, and mathematical skills, maintain professionalism, and keep confidentiality regarding revenues, pricing, and over/short information. Effective communication, training, and coordination within the Store Systems and Administration team are essential.

If you can work quickly and accurately under pressure, maintain a positive attitude, be solutions-oriented, and communicate well both verbally and in writing, you might be the right fit for this role!
