Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Manager/Store Operator to join our Pharmasave location in Flin Flon, Manitoba. Pharmasave Flin Flon is a supporter of community events and fundraisers, supporting the Bombers and even have their own Flin Flon Monopoly board game, a register technician, and fantastic assistants that make this pharmacy stand out from the crowd.

Position Details

  • Up to 40 hrs / week

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

  • The Pharmacy Manager/Store Operator is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement. The Pharmacy Manager/Store Operator will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in the areas of patient focused care, customer service and workflow efficiencies.
  • Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, disease state management)
  • Promotes the Neighbourly brand through publishing, presenting, and participation in industry associations to improve brand awareness.
  • Follow and promote the Neighbourly policy manual to inspire a working environment that attracts and retains talented, committed and engaged employees.
  • Initiate care plans, follow up and document.
  • Administer vaccines.
  • Determine appropriateness of drug therapy.
  • Monitor medication adherence.
  • Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information.
  • Recommend OTC products and vitamins.
  • Answer questions from patients that require therapeutic knowledge, clinical analysis, or assessment.
  • Supervise a pharmacy student or a provisional pharmacist in the performance of restricted activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Licensed and in good standing with College of Pharmacists of Manitoba.
  • Minimum 1 year of prior experience as a Pharmacy Manager (preferred).
  • Possess entrepreneurial abilities and a will to grow the business.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and encourage staff.
  • Capability to collaborate with the front-store staff to find possibilities for patient care.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
