MacDonald Search Group is assisting a Canadian fashion retailer in appointing a Store Manager for its new Sarnia location. You will lead store performance, coach the team and drive an exceptional in-store experience while managing operations, inventory and merchandising.

The role requires hands-on leadership, a focus on sales targets and a commitment to developing people. Base salary is $55k–$60k with monthly bonuses and travel incentives.

Qualifications

• Retail leadership experience with store manager or assistant store manager roles.
• Ability to coach and develop a sales-oriented team.
• Strong customer-service orientation and product knowledge.
• Commercial mindset with focus on targets, productivity and payroll.
• Comfortable leading on the sales floor and setting an example.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall store performance including sales, productivity and customer experience.
• Coach and develop the sales team through observation and on-the-floor feedback.
• Recruit, onboard and train employees while fostering a positive culture.
• Deliver knowledgeable, personalized service and a customer-first environment.
• Manage payroll and scheduling to support business needs.
• Maintain merchandising, visual presentation and store standards.
• Oversee inventory reception, organization and presentation.
• Develop product knowledge to advise customers on fit and style.
• Monitor performance and act on sales opportunities.
• Address customer concerns and use feedback to improve the store.
