Wild Rose Co-op - Retail Manager, Camrose Food Store

Wild Rose Co-op is seeking an innovative and experienced retail professional to lead and grow our Camrose Food Store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and lead a high-performance team to meet operational and financial targets, maximizing efficiency and returns.
  • Develop and implement business plans, growth strategies, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Communicate with the Operational Manager regarding daily operations, budgets, sales, and targets.
  • Lead the team in providing quality, fresh goods and exceptional customer service.
  • Manage inventories accurately, minimizing losses.
  • Coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure completion of policies, training, and certifications in a timely manner.
  • Represent Co-op at community events, promoting our "You’re at Home Here" brand.
  • Achieve objectives related to brand, service, quality, and timeliness, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction standards.
Qualifications:
  • Related degree, certificate, or Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) Food Managers and CRS ADVANCE training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of operational leadership experience in a retail environment.
  • Knowledge of commodity sales, gross margin, and inventory management.
  • Experience within the Co-operative Retailing System is an asset.
  • Foodwise certification is required (training available internally if needed).

This role involves using various computer software, AI predictive tools, phone applications, and manual handling of products.
