About the Role

As a Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for the total holistic omni customer experience in your store, ensuring high visual and commercial standards according to the store format location and global & regional strategies. You lead the full store team to excel, creating an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit. You are responsible for analyzing sales and creating plans to optimize results and profits.

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day includes:

  1. Ensuring the total OMNI customer experience, visual and commercial presentation according to guidelines
  2. Representing the H&M brand positively during all customer interactions
  3. Establishing and following up on sales and budget goals, creating plans to optimize results
  4. Providing personal customer service and guiding customers through fashion stories
  5. Promoting the Customer Loyalty App and sustainability initiatives
  6. Managing store routines, maintenance, and admin routines efficiently

Fashion & Trend Awareness

  1. Keeping up to date with fashion trends, styles, and competitors
  2. Ensuring the team provides product and fashion knowledge during customer interactions
  3. Understanding the local area, customers, and fashion trends

Team & Development

  1. Managing talent and performance, recruiting, onboarding, and developing your team
  2. Conducting performance evaluations and succession planning
  3. Sharing knowledge and collaborating with the store and area teams
  4. Ensuring effective communication and team scheduling
  5. Participating in onboarding, training, and development activities

Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution

  1. Maintaining a clean and tidy store environment
  2. Ensuring high-quality visual and product presentation
  3. Managing stock levels and supporting with store routines
  4. Overseeing garment cycle and fitting room routines
  5. Maintaining in-store tech services and price signage
