Job summary

La Senza, Ottawa, is seeking a Store Manager who will be the brand ambassador and business leader of the store. You will inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing team that delivers exceptional customer experiences and drives sustainable, profitable growth.

You will own talent lifecycle, plan leadership meetings, oversee operations, payroll, inventory, and compliance, and model La Senza values every day.

Qualifications

• Proven retail leadership experience in a high-volume fashion environment.
• Demonstrated track record of driving sales and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong business acumen and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all store operations to achieve or exceed sales, profitability, and customer experience goals.
• Create a store culture that celebrates confidence, inclusion, and exceptional service; model company selling behaviors.
• Own the full talent lifecycle – recruiting, hiring, onboarding, assessment, training, retention, and career development to build a high-performing team.
• Plan and facilitate leadership meetings to communicate priorities and ensure alignment across store roles.
• Coach, develop, and retain leaders and associates through feedback and recognition.
• Partner with the Co-Manager to assign shifts, segments, and daily priorities.
• Observe and engage customers to model selling behaviors and drive loyalty.
• Manage associate relations with fairness and maintain a positive work environment.
• Analyze business performance and leverage KPIs and feedback to implement actions.
• Create SMART action plans to drive store sales and profitability.
• Oversee payroll, wage targets, and controllable expenses in line with company standards.
• Ensure flawless execution of visual merchandising, brand guidelines, and floor set transitions.
• Oversee replenishment and keep the sales floor stocked and visually appealing.
• Support inventory processes and strategies to reduce shrink.
• Enforce all policies, procedures, and mandatory safety standards.

What you'll do

• Lead all aspects of store operations to achieve or exceed sales, profitability, and customer experience goals.
• Create a store culture that celebrates confidence, inclusion, and exceptional service; model company selling behaviors.
• Own the full talent lifecycle - recruiting, hiring, onboarding, assessment, training, retention, and career development to build a high-performing and engaged team.
• Plan and facilitate leadership meetings to communicate business priorities and ensure consistent alignment across all store roles.
• Coach, develop, and retain leaders and associates through ongoing feedback, recognition, and succession planning.
• Partner with your Co-Manager and leadership team to assign Customer Sales Lead (CSL) segments, working shifts, and daily priorities.
• Observe and engage customers directly on the sales floor to model selling behaviors and drive loyalty.
• Manage associate relations with fairness and consistency; resolve issues promptly while maintaining a positive work environment.
• Analyze business performance, identify trends, and leverage insights from KPIs and customer feedback to implement impactful business actions.
• Create and communicate SMART Taction plans that drive store sales, profitability, and associate engagement.
• Oversee payroll, wage targets, and controllable expenses to align with Company standards.
• Ensure flawless execution of visual merchandising, brand guide updates, and floor set transitions.
• Oversee replenishment and ensure the sales floor is fully stocked, abundant, and visually compelling.
• Support and execute the physical inventory process and develop strategies to reduce shrink.
• Enforce all company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Manage and reinforce all activities related to providing a safe and compliant working environment in accordance with company policies and provincial legislation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained store that meets all health, safety, and maintenance standards.
• Consistently demonstrate professionalism, brand pride, and leadership that reflects La Senza's values.

• Proven retail leadership experience, ideally in a high-volume or fashion-driven environment.
• Demonstrated success in driving sales results and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong business acumen and analytical thinking-you turn data into action.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule(days, evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Proficiency with retail tools and systems(HR Cloud, Zipline, Workday) an asset.
