Store Manager

Adecco is actively seeking a Store Manager for our client's location in Thunder Bay, ON. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $50,000 to $55,000 per annum. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in retail operations, preferably in a gas station or convenience store setting, with strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.

Pay Rate: $50k-$55k / year.

Responsibilities:

1. Contributing to a positive customer experience by ensuring products and services meet customer expectations.
2. Managing on-site operations, including creating work schedules, allocating resources, and supervising employees.
3. Maintaining accurate records and reporting any operational issues or concerns.
4. Ordering fuel, merchandise, and supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate while minimizing waste.
5. Adhering to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
6. Handling customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
7. Monitoring sales, tracking expenses, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate cash handling procedures.
8. Ensuring the gas station and retail store are clean, well-maintained, and presentable.
9. Evaluating staff performance, providing feedback, and supporting skills and productivity improvement.

Requirements:

1. Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
2. 3-5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a gas station or convenience store setting.
3. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
4. Proven experience in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and analyzing financial data.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering results.
6. Solid understanding of inventory management practices.
7. Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other relevant computer software.
8. A clean criminal background check and reliable transportation are required.
