SHOE PER is an independently owned footwear brand. This position is for the location in Kitchener, ON. We carry name brands for women, men, and kids. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sales performance, customer satisfaction, and staff training and development. You will work to foster client loyalty and expand our brand presence. The ideal candidate will spearhead these efforts with a customer-centric attitude.

Store Manager

Responsibilities
  • Set and execute sales performance goals to increase profitability
  • Hire, train, and assess store employees' productivity and performance
  • Maintain an orderly, presentable appearance of the store
  • Oversee stock and store operations
Requirements
  • Overall responsibility for hitting sales targets and store operations
  • Responsible for staff hiring, training, coaching, retaining, recognizing, rewarding, and evaluating performance
  • Implement staff contests (vendor and company sponsored)
  • Set up product knowledge sessions and track attendance
  • Reward outstanding performance
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years' store management experience
  • Customer-centric with a positive attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Mid-level computer skills and experience with cloud-based programs
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a car
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
Customer Experience
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring customers receive excellent service
  • Handle customer emails forwarded to the store manager
  • Oversee handling of returns, repairs, and returns to vendors as appropriate
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative feedback on staff and products for buyers
Working Conditions
  • Full-time, 40-hour week
  • Hours include some evenings and weekends
