Job description

The Store Manager is responsible for developing store-specific action plans and directing all activities within the store to ensure customer service standards and performance targets are met. The Manager will manage budgets, labor costs, inventory control, product presentation, and merchandising. They will also coach, motivate, and develop their team to foster customer loyalty, meet customer needs, and promote employee and customer engagement.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed action plans to achieve profitability, sales, and expense targets.
  • Communicate financial goals to the team.
  • Order appropriate merchandise tailored to local needs to maximize sales.
  • Control labor and overhead costs.
  • Monitor cash, receivables, and store controls.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to maximize sales and ROI.
  • Ensure loss prevention and shrink are well managed.

Ensure effective execution of in-store selling activities, marketing programs, and standards in support of corporate initiatives.

  • Present merchandise according to standards to maximize sales and profits.
  • Drive sales through promotional offerings.
  • Price merchandise according to guidelines.
  • Maintain consistency in standards and discipline.

Develop a community relations plan to build long-term relationships with customers, stakeholders, and leaders.

  • Determine sponsorships and donations for local events.
  • Monitor customer service and satisfaction, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead and set standards for the store.

Develop in-depth knowledge of store operations, local competition, and economic factors affecting the community.

  • Enhance the store’s competitive position.

Skills and Qualifications:
