Job summary

Location: Eastern Canada - Region 54 - Market 403: 312 Rue Amirault, Dieppe, New Brunswick E1A 1G2

Essential Duties
  • Leadership and Management: Directly oversees two or more full‑time employees (Assistant Manager, Lead Representative, Customer Service Representative), recruits, hires, trains, manages tasks, and maintains a professional image. Schedules staff to maximize service and store image, and applies non‑discriminatory hiring, counseling, mentoring, and employee separation practices.
  • Store Relationships: Builds positive, professional relationships with suppliers and resolves customer complaints in a timely, professional manner. Provides reliable onsite attendance, promoting a safe, positive public image within the community.
  • Training and Development: Prepares ongoing performance appraisals in Workday, including 30‑, 60‑, 90‑, 12‑month, and anniversary check‑ins, and trains staff on customer service, store image, marketing, safety, cash awareness, and other operational expectations. Ensures completion of all required training.
  • Communications: Establishes and maintains timely communication with employees and the District Manager, ensuring all staff receive necessary information.
  • Organizing and Planning: Develops specific action plans to address store needs, organizes files and manuals, and supervises employees to ensure accurate, timely reports, proper merchandise stocking, display, and pricing. Maintains required employment posters and signs in accessible locations.
  • Financial: Analyzes daily sales and expense information, budgets and forecasts P&L lines, and manages merchandise margins. Safeguards funds, performs financial analysis to maximize net profits, and reports discrepancies to the District Manager.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 1–2 years of retail work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Ability to supervise and train use of equipment, tools and materials listed in the CSR, LSR and SA job descriptions.
  • Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in the CSR, LSR and SA job descriptions.
  • Proficiency with a computer, including report completion, inventory control, cash control, and employment related forms.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • Open availability and willingness to work variable hours.
  • Effective oral and written communication in English.
  • Physical ability to perform essential duties and functions described above, including working on the job.
  • Ability to work in the conditions described below.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Certificates & Licenses: Food Server certificate (e.g., ServSafe) and Food Safety Management certification may be required.
Physical Requirements
  • Work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
  • Be exposed to cold or warm temperature extremes during occasional work in a walk‑in cooler, freezer, or outdoors.
  • Lift or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead and up to 50 pounds from ground to waist on occasion.
  • Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects continuously during the shift.
  • Push or pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds.
  • Reach overhead, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, squat, and push or pull as needed.
  • Communicate orally, operate a cash register and/or computer keyboard.
  • Work alone and be exposed to occasional noise.
  • Stand and/or walk for the duration of a shift.
  • May require climbing a ladder to retrieve or replace materials or signs.
Work Environment
  • Work requires 50 hours per week and may include all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Conducts approximately 95% of tasks indoors but includes cleaning parking lots, gas pumps, garbage removal, and other outdoor duties.
  • Exposure to extreme cold temperatures during occasional work in walk‑in coolers or freezers.
  • Exposure to occasional noise.
  • Operates with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
