Job summary

Hot Topic is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Manager to help lead the loudest store in the mall. You will support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, recruiting and developing a passionate team, and driving customer engagement through promotions, social media, and convenient shopping options like BOPIS and curbside pickup.

You will balance operations with leadership, keeping shrink and scheduling under control while collaborating with HQ to respond to trends and feedback.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience.
• Strong communication, recruiting and operations skills.
• Ability to develop and coach team members.
• Retail experience with payroll, scheduling and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and comp goals.
• Help recruit, develop and retain a collaborative team.
• Promote products via in-store promotions, social media, BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Provide leadership for an operationally sound business.
• Monitor shrink, payroll hours and associate schedules.
• Communicate with retail leadership and HQ on trends and feedback.
• Run sales reports to guide strategy.
• Merchandise the store using planograms and launch promos.
• Develop high-performing, customer-focused associates.
