The Michaels Companies Inc. store in Charlottetown, PE is seeking a Store Associate focused on delivering friendly customer service and maintaining a clean, organized shopping environment.

You will perform cleaning duties, assist customers, stock shelves, and handle checkout transactions with attention to accuracy and courtesy. Ideal candidates have retail or cleaning experience, can stand for long periods, and are available for varied shifts including evenings and weekends.

• Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to SOPs.

Store - CHARLOTTETOWN, PE

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store which includes maintaining store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store and find what they're looking for. Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.

• Dust and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. May require mixing water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Deep clean key areas of the store including but not limited to bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Must keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations, in keeping with the organization's vision and values.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.

Other duties as assigned may include:

• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
• Ability to move throughout the store
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment

Total Base Pay Range for this Position:

$18.30 - $21.10
