Job description

Join to apply for the Store Environment Team Member role at Michaels Stores.

Maintain a high standard of overall store appearance, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to uphold our Brand Promises. Provide friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and help them find products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
2. Dust and mop floors, clean assigned areas with proper equipment and materials.
3. Deep clean high-traffic areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways.
4. Maintain cleaning equipment and notify supervisors of supply needs.
5. Take initiative to identify areas needing cleaning and complete tasks promptly.
6. Follow all federal, state, and local guidelines during tasks.
7. Interact positively and respectfully with team members and customers, representing the organization’s values.

Additional Duties:

• Assist with checkout, including cash handling and promoting Rewards and Credit Card programs.
• Support Omni channel processes like BOPIS and SFS.
• Participate in stock management and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies to ensure legal compliance.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Ability to stand for long periods, move throughout the store, and lift heavy objects.
• Work may include outdoor tasks, night shifts, weekends, and early mornings.
• Use of cleaning chemicals and equipment required.
