Job Description

This position is essential to the success of our retail stores. Store associates work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend solutions. They are also expected to resolve customer concerns promptly, ensure maximum client satisfaction, stay updated on product features, and maintain high standards of product quality and store presentation. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service while meeting sales goals.

The selected individual will work at Store #8903, located at 6, 3301-50 Ave, Red Deer, AB T4N 3Y2.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by identifying needs and presenting suitable products and services
  • Build trust-based relationships with wholesale and retail customers
  • Process sales transactions accurately according to policies and procedures
  • Achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Maintain accurate work order files and formulas
  • Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed
  • Tint and mix products to customer specifications
  • Stock shelves and set up displays
  • Clean store equipment
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Assist with deliveries when needed
  • Keep assigned areas in-stock and presentable
  • Stay knowledgeable about products and discuss options with customers
  • Follow inventory control procedures
  • Suggest ways to improve sales
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  • Ability to retrieve materials from shelves and lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
  • Experience selling paint and related products
  • Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • Multilingual abilities in reading, writing, and speaking
