Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a prospective development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board and shareholder base.
Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment beneath the oxide resources. We are also advancing permitting and development on our South Railroad Project, a feasibility-stage, open-pit heap leach project in Nevada, situated on the prolific Carlin trend. This project is part of our larger South Carlin Complex, which includes a prospective land package. Additionally, we recently acquired the Musselwhite Mine in Northern Ontario on Lake Opapimiskan, a gold mine with over 25 years of operating history. The Musselwhite Mine has enabled Orla to more than double gold production and provides a strategic entry into a Tier 1 mining jurisdiction. The mine is highly prospective with potential for resource expansion and increased mine life.
Orla is committed to building a legacy of excellence, respect, and sustainable value through responsible gold mining. We aim to create a net positive impact for all stakeholders and leave a lasting legacy beyond our mines' operational life. Our approach involves building and operating high-quality mines led by an experienced team. We see ourselves as custodians of our assets and the environments we operate in, fostering a culture of excellence, care, and respect.
A Common Core training program prepares individuals interested in working in underground mining environments. The program lasts two months and includes modules on Underground Hard Rock mining and other specialty topics. The Stope School Program equips trainees with foundational mining knowledge, emphasizing safety, through theory and practical activities aligned with guidelines from the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MCTU).
Our values unify our culture. From leadership to operations, we are invested in our people. Working with us means joining a community of skilled professionals committed to pioneering sustainable mining practices.
The schedule for this position will be 14 days on, 14 days off, with 12-hour shifts.
