ROME GROUP is seeking a full-time Tutoring Coordinator for the STL Tutoring Collaborative, a network supporting low-income families with tutoring services. This role involves leading meetings, collaborating with school districts, and recruiting volunteers for tutoring programs. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in education and experience in literacy tutoring, along with strong organizational and communication skills. This position offers a salary range of $55,000 – $60,000 and the opportunity to impact literacy development in the community.
Position Summary:
Turn the Page STL’s Tutoring Coordinator leads our “STL Tutoring Collaborative.” The STL Tutoring Collaborative is a collective of eighteen (18) tutoring organizations in the St. Louis area that provide tutoring services for low-income children and families during the school day, after school, or on weekends. The Coordinator will convene the STL Tutoring Collaborative monthly, schedule professional development for members to improve training, create a catalog of tutoring organizations and their services, work with school districts to choose the best high-impact tutoring program for their students, oversee implementation, and work with a marketing firm to create a recruitment strategy for new tutors.
This is a full-time, exempt 40 hours per week position, and includes health care and paid time off.
Primary Responsibilities:
Backbone Support of the STL Tutoring Collaborative
· Research and share best practices for providing high impact tutoring with proven results.
· Convene and lead monthly STL Tutoring Collaborative meetings.
· Meet one-on-one with the individual tutoring organizations to better understand their work and capacity.
· Follow up after meetings with notes and next steps.
· Schedule high-quality professional development for organizations to improve tutor training.
· Organize field trips for the tutoring organizations to see the work of each other.
Aligning Tutoring Organizations with School Districts
· Create a catalogue of STL Tutoring Collaborative organizations with additional tutoring supports, including on-line programming.
· Meet with school district leaders to assess their need and capacity for high-impact tutoring.
· Work with school districts to understand how high-impact tutoring is essential in educating students.
· Align, support and oversee tutoring services with school districts with a Memorandum of Understanding with all partners.
· Collect and analyze data.
Recruiting More Volunteers
· Work with the STL Tutoring Collaborative members to assess their capacity for additional tutors.
· Work with a marketing firm to recruit tutors for the individual tutoring organizations.

Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in teaching and/or education.
· Experience in quality literacy tutoring.
· Strong commitment to the Turn the Page STL mission.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills needed.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Must be punctual, dependable, a self-starter, and possess the ability to effectively multi-task and work independently.
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
· Experience and comfort using Microsoft Office Suite required.
· Use of personal, vehicle required to travel to tutoring organizations and schools. Mileage will be reimbursed.
· May work virtually; however, must work in-person when needed.
