Job Description
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Consistently offering professional, engaging, and friendly service in ware-washing, storage, sanitation of all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand in various kitchens
- Sorting all china, glass, and silverware and storing them appropriately
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and polishing all silver and banquet equipment
- Daily cleaning and sanitation of kitchens, outlets, and banquet facilities to ensure high hygiene standards
- Completing all opening or closing duties as assigned
- Working shifts as dictated by business needs (day, evening, weekends)
- Demonstrating multi-tasking and maintaining pace in a high-productivity environment
- Ensuring timely garbage and recycling removal according to hotel policies
- Maintaining inter-departmental communication and cooperation for guest satisfaction
- Adhering to safety regulations and participating in the hotel health and safety program
- Following environmental policies and programs
- Assisting the Executive Chef and culinary team as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- No previous experience required
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Additional Information: Canadian work authorization required.
