Stratford Orthodontics is looking for an enthusiastic Sterilization Technician to join our thriving practice in Stratford, Ontario. This position offers a great opportunity to start your orthodontic career!

We are seeking someone to cover maternity leave for approximately 12 months, with the potential for continued employment on a full-time or part-time basis for the right candidate.

Your Role

As a Sterilization Technician, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating positive patient experiences and driving our practice’s success. Responsibilities include:

• Facilitating patient flow by cleaning and resetting clinic chairs efficiently.
• Following a monthly maintenance schedule.
• Regularly inspecting the clinic (including brushing stations) to ensure all areas are clean, organized, and stocked.
• Disposing of, disinfecting, or replacing items as needed, especially those on the floor.
• Disposing of garbage appropriately.
• Maintaining a continuous sterilization process to ensure smooth instrument flow.
• Participating actively in staff meetings.
• Working cooperatively with fellow team members.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

About You

• Experience in a dental or medical clinical setting is an asset.
• Completion of MOH sterilization course.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to build rapport with patients, parents, doctors, and team members.
• Keen attention to detail and good time management skills.
