Alberta Health Services in Cold Lake is seeking a Surgical Processor - Developmental trainee to assist in sterilizing medical equipment under supervision. You will participate in decontamination, reassembly, and sterilization of hospital supplies, following aseptic technique and Universal Precautions.

You will help ensure instruments are in working order, perform basic quality checks, and report issues to the supervisor.

Qualificações

• Completion of or enrolment in the Sterile Processing Technician program.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in decontamination, reassembly and sterilization of hospital supplies and instruments.
• Follow aseptic technique and Universal Precautions.
• Report problems to supervisor or designate and ensure equipment is in working order.
• Perform basic biological, chemical and quality assurance testing as directed.
