Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Sterile Supply/Processing Technician to join our hospital teams. You will decontaminate, sterilize, assemble, and distribute instruments and equipment for the Operating Room and other areas.

The role involves operating washers and sterilizers, maintaining stock, and performing clerical duties as part of a larger care team. Qualifications include Grade 12 and a Sterile Supply Processing program with at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Processing program.
• One year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receives, sorts, decontaminates, cleans, assembles, wraps, sterilizes and stores instruments and supplies.
• Prepares equipment and supplies for storage and distribution per procedures.
• Operates departmental equipment such as washers, sterilisers and related devices.
• Maintains stock of supplies and assists with inventory checks.
• Performs clerical duties and supports QA and record-keeping tasks.
• Assists in staff orientation and supports department efficiency.
