Job summary

Bardel Entertainment in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Stereoscopic Prep Artist for a feature animation delivery phase. You will organize assets, clean setups, validate packages, and ensure clean, client-ready handoffs under deadline pressure.

Ideal candidates have LRC background, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Nuke (Blender a bonus). This is a fixed-term engagement from August to November 2026 with competitive CAD weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach to cleaning and organizing delivery files.
• Proficient in checking dependencies, and maintaining consistent handoff packages under deadline pressure.
• Experience with production pipelines, especially in stereoscopic prep, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Delivery Files: Organize and package files for stereoscopic conversion with required assets.
• Clean Shot Setups: Remove internal notes, temp elements, hidden data not meant for client delivery.
• Check for Common Issues: Open files, review setups, flag broken links, missing assets, version mismatches.
• Support Delivery Readiness: Collaborate with Supervisor and TA to move shots through final prep.
• Maintain Organized Handoffs: Keep files and versions organized to reduce confusion during busy periods.

We need aStereoscopic Prep Artistto support a critical delivery phase on afeature animation project. This role is focused on preparing files for stereoscopic conversion by organizing assets, cleaning setups,validatingpackage readiness, and helping ensure the client receives clean, usable deliveries. This is a hands‑on role for someone detail-oriented, technically capable, and comfortable working carefully under deadline pressure.Ideal for someone with an LRC background.

You will help prepare files so they are clean, organized, and ready for external handoff. Success in this role means packages are complete, internal‑only content is removed, common setup issues are caught early, and the team can move through delivery with fewer last‑minute surprises.

WhatYou’llBe Doing

• Prepare Delivery Files:Organize and package files for stereoscopic conversion, making sure required assets and dependencies are included and structured correctly.

• Clean Shot Setups:Remove internal-only notes,tempelements, hidden data, and anything else that should not be included in the client‑facing package.

• Check for Common Issues:Open files, review setups, and flag broken links, missing assets, version mismatches, or other issues that could create downstream problems.

• Support Delivery Readiness:Work closely with the Supervisor and TA to help move shots and packages through final prep efficiently and accurately.

• Maintain Organized Handoffs:Keep files, versions, and delivery materials well organized so the team can track readiness and reduce confusion during busy delivery periods.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong Attention to Detail: You notice small inconsistencies and take pride in clean, accurate work.

• Hands‑On File Confidence: You are comfortable opening scenes, checking dependencies, and making practical cleanup fixes within established workflows.

• Production Reliability: You can manage repetitive but important tasks carefully, stay organized, and maintain quality under deadline pressure.

• Basic Pipeline Awareness: Production experience in lighting and compositing to follow handoff requirements and spot obvious issues.

• Software: Production experience with Nuke required; Blender experience, knowledge or interest a bonus

• Collaborative Mindset: You communicate clearly, ask smart questions, and work well with a small team during a focused delivery phase.

Location: Vancouver, Canada (must be BC-based)

Date: August - November, 2026

Pay Range: $1400 - 1700 CAD per week
