Job description

Royal Canadian Christian School (RCCS) is a Christ-centered private school and is registered as a non-profit society under the Society Act of British Columbia. As our secondary school has more new students, it will be necessary to hire a STEM teacher to join our team.


The Work Duties Cover
  1. Preparing subject material and class content for students according to the BC curriculum.
  2. Teaching students using various means to assist and improve studies.
  3. Assigning and correcting homework.
  4. Preparing, administering and correcting tests.
  5. Evaluating progress, determining student needs and discussing them with parents and school officials.
  6. Participating in staff meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops.
  7. Giving advice to students on course selection and on vocational and personal matters.

To be considered a qualified candidate, you will need to:
  1. Be a Certified teacher in British Columbia.
  2. Have an understanding of faith integration across the curriculum.
  3. Be familiar with STEM courses in high school.
  4. Have at least 3 years of directly related experience.
  5. Be a strong communicator.
  6. Be an enthusiastic, collaborative team member.
  7. Preferably be a Christian.

This is a permanent full-time position. We pay $42 per hour plus applicable benefits to the successful candidate. This rate may be adjusted according to the candidate's experience and capability.


Working hours are 30 hours per week. Work location is 8610 Ash Street, Vancouver, BC.
