Are you passionate about statistical analysis and driving data-driven decision-making? Join Alberta’s Office of Statistics and Information (OSI) as a Statistical Analyst and make a direct impact on the economic and social insights that shape Alberta’s future.
As a Statistical Analyst, you will support the operations of the OSI through advanced statistical analysis, data manipulation, and modeling. You will leverage your expertise in software such as SAS, R, STATA, and Python to generate reliable statistical data that supports policy development, planning, and decision-making. Collaboration with internal stakeholders is essential to provide evidence-based analysis for government programs and initiatives.
Your responsibilities include conducting research and statistical analysis, analyzing socio-economic data from sources like Statistics Canada, synthesizing data to inform policies, and working with colleagues to integrate data into decision-making processes. You will develop reports and presentations, prepare technical documentation, ensure data quality, and collaborate on data standards. Stakeholder consultations and briefing senior leadership are also part of your role.
