YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Maintenance Planning General Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Maintenance Department.You will be responsible for the optimization of the maintenance performance of our stationary assets, using best practice maintenance planning, AEM Corporate Global Standards, planning techniques and the SAP and JD Edwards maintenance management system. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Translate reliability strategies into detailed maintenance plans for stationary asset
  • Develop and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) task lists and job plans
  • Establish and maintain rolling 1-month, 3-month, and 12-month maintenance plan
  • Forecast and monitor labor, contractor, and material demands for upcoming work
  • Maintain planning of annual NDTs, and statutory inspections in compliance with regulations
  • Prepare complete job packages including work scope, safety permits, repair packages, technical prints, schematics, and documentation
  • Develop Standard Job Plans (SJPs) and work instructions aligned with operational procedures and safety protocols
  • Define commissioning readiness PM plans and identify critical spares for new equipment
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Contracts for material availability and third-party support
  • Manage CMMS (SAP/JDE) database, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and initiate purchase requisitions for services and materials
  • Catalog site-based maintenance and equipment repair files for reference and compliance
  • Continually review and adjust maintenance intervals to maximize asset availability
  • Track and report on maintenance KPIs weekly, and monthly for the Stationary General Supervisor, Maintenance Planning General Supervisor, and Maintenance Superintendent
  • Report condition monitoring findings to relevant stakeholders
  • Support annual OPEX and CAPEX budget development for maintenance activities
  • Prepare budget cost estimates for scheduled maintenance and shutdown activities
  • Assist in capital project planning and preparation of Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documentation
  • Generate reports, graphs, and statistical data on key maintenance planning KPIs (schedule compliance, backlog status, planned/unplanned ratio, muck circuit availability, etc)
  • Backfill other planners or schedulers when required to ensure continuity
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Trade Qualified Millwright with MMC Certificate and higher education in Maintenance Planning (e.g., PEMAC)
  • +3 years in stationary (fixed plant) maintenance planning
  • Proven experience with CMMS systems (SAP or JDE) and maintenance planning tools
  • Experience with muck circuit assets including grizzlies, rock breakers, swing jaw crushers, conveyors, belt magnets, hoists (cage and skip), compressors, ventilation doors, fans, dewatering pumps, ore bins, loading pockets, chutes, structural supports, and material handling systems
  • Experience implementing asset integrity, condition-based maintenance and liner change-out strategies in the muck circuit
  • Knowledge and understanding of OH&S Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across departments
  • Commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement principles
