Purpose of Position: To provide Support Services at the airport related to daily operations, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain radio communication with flight crews and ground personnel.
- Receive and relay data from flight crews, ramp, sales, commissary, and maintenance personnel.
- Plot gate assignments on the Gate Management System and coordinate aircraft towing in accordance with gating restrictions for safe movement of aircraft, personnel, and passengers.
- Monitor forecasts and routing changes, update arrival/departure times, and inform relevant personnel; update FIDS/FMIS screens.
- Investigate delays and code them appropriately in Airport Operations systems.
- Assist with other related duties as instructed by shift manager or supervisor.
- Perform duties following established policies and procedures, prioritizing safety for oneself, co-workers, and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions: This role involves shift work and prolonged sitting.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary education is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal command of English.
- Proficiency with multi-screen computer systems.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Experience in the airline industry is an asset.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-stress environment and multitask with good decision-making skills.
- Preference for candidates with a Restricted Radio License.
- Must obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification ID pass upon employment.
