About Us

Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing 737 200C, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.

Air Inuit's Management and its team of dedicated employees are committed to the company's essential mission of providing safe, timely and high-quality air service to the people living and doing business in the enchanting region of Northern Quebec.

Role Overview

The Station Manager's role is crucial to local operational management at the Montreal Trudeau (YUL) airport terminal, and is also responsible for Québec City airport operations. He/she directly supervises the Montreal Airport Operations Supervisors as well as ground service providers in Montreal and Quebec City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain contractual relationships with our service providers at Montreal and Quebec airports, ensuring that they comply with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct regular audits of service providers to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Act as a point of reference for service provider agents and Airport Operations Supervisors.
  • Monitor local day-to-day operations and react quickly to irregularities to minimize impact.
  • Rigorously manage operational plans for Montreal and Quebec City operations.
  • Hold regular meetings with service providers to discuss performance and improvements.
  • Receive and verify baggage delivery reports from ground service providers, and follow up as necessary.
  • Liaise with airport authorities to ensure smooth and efficient communication.
  • Represent Air Inuit at various meetings of the Montreal and Quebec City airport communities (AOC, ACC, TOWG, etc.).
  • Act as Air Inuit's first responder to the Emergency Control Center (ECC) and receive emergency alerts for Montreal and Quebec City.
  • Establish annual budget forecasts for airport operations at Montréal-Trudeau.
  • Reconcile and approve monthly overhead invoices for use of airport terminal and baggage rooms.
  • Receive bulletins, notices of work in restricted areas (ATZR) and other communications from the Montreal and Quebec City airport authorities, and ensure that they are forwarded to the appropriate internal sectors.
  • Attend weekly operational meetings and follow up on SGS files related to his/her sector.
  • Perform any other related tasks or produce any other reports according to operational needs and departmental objectives.


What Will Make You An Ideal Candidate

  • Diploma in administration, an asset.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in a similar and/or management role. Experience in aviation is an asset.
  • Dynamic and motivated, with strong leadership skills.
  • Able to obtain a RAIC card as well as an Airside Driving Permit (AVOP).
  • Experience in airport operations.
  • Strong Excel experience to manage and analyze data effectively and track budget.
  • Bilingual (French/English, spoken and written). Ability to speak Inuktitut is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of air transport regulations and Transport Canada legislation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Air Inuit's network and internal procedures is a considerable asset.
  • Available to travel within Nunavik and to other destinations.
