Job Description

Sodexo is growing! We are looking for a Sodexo Team Lead to join our dynamic team. This position is a full-time position.

As a member of our Food and Beverage team, you will always provide the highest quality of customer service, while working for Sodexo. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):

  • Serves as a lead supervisory position in guiding and assisting in the training of less experienced Starbucks team members.
  • Assist with preparing and serving all menu items according to Starbucks Standards and operating procedures.
  • Rectify customer complaints, problem solving and decision making in the absence of a manager.
  • Assist staff with problems in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Overseeing staff and assignment of tasks.
  • Direct and assign duties to staff on an as-needed basis including opening, closing and side duties.
  • Ensure all stations are clean, well stocked and maintained.
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout shift.
  • Complete periodic inventory and order supplies as needed; ensure correct ordering procedures.
  • Follow breakage and spillage procedures.
  • Complete audits of all F&B areas.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of equipment use and ensuring constant maintenance and upkeep of items.
  • Complete the end of day reporting.
Qualifications

What you need for this role:

  • Minimum 2-year supervisory experience in a fast food/quick serve industry
  • Must have knowledge on how to operate and program a point of sales (POS) preferably Micros
  • Experience directing staff in a courteous and professional manner
  • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent data.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

  • Food Safe Level 1 and WHMIS certification up to date is an asset
