Qualifications

  • 3 years of recent related experience, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Completed a recognized typing test within the past 48 months.

Responsibilities

  • Process requests for vacancy coverage to ensure staffing levels are maintained.
  • Allocate and call in relief staff to fill vacancies.
  • Process payroll removal notices and change notifications.
  • Audit timekeeping records for accuracy.
  • Calculate and edit on-call and callback hours.
  • Perform data entry and clerical duties.

Vernon Jubilee Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Relief part-time Staffing Services Scheduling Clerk to join their team in Vernon, B.C!

This position works rotating days, Monday to Friday 10:00 to 16:30. Days Off: Sun, Sat, STAT.

What Will You Work On?

In this role you will work in a customer-focused, team-oriented framework performing staffing, scheduling and payroll clerical functions in a fully automated system. Some typical duties will include:

  • Receives and processes requests for vacancy coverage to ensure staff compliment baselines are met;
  • Allocates and calls in relief staff to fill vacancies;
  • Receives and processes on-staff, payroll removal notices and change notices;
  • Reviews and audits timekeeping records;
  • Reviewing, calculating and editing on call and call back hours;
  • Data entry;
  • Reception and clerical duties.
What should your application include?
  • A 5-minute typing test (35+ NWPM) from a recognized institution, completed within the past 48 months (non-supervised tests not accepted).
  • Your Resume outlining three year’s recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
  • A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position and on-call, casual work (i.e. days of the week).
