Job description

Royal Inland Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Staffing Services Scheduling Clerk to join their team in Kamloops, B.C.! This position works rotating days, evenings 05:00 to 13:30, 09:00 to 17:30, 13:30 to 22:00, 14:45 to 23:15, 07:00 to 15:30.

What Will You Work On?

Duties

In this role you will work in a customer-focused, team-oriented framework performing staffing, scheduling and payroll clerical functions in a fully automated system. Some typical duties will include:

  1. Receives and processes requests for vacancy coverage to ensure staff compliment baselines are met;
  2. Allocates and calls in relief staff to fill vacancies;
  3. Receives and processes on-staff, payroll removal notices and change notices;
  4. Reviews and audits timekeeping records;
  5. Reviewing, calculating and editing on call and call back hours;
  6. Data entry;
  7. Reception and clerical duties.

What should your application include?

  1. A 5-minute typing test (35+ NWPM) from a recognized institution, completed within the past 48 months (non-supervised tests not accepted). Click here for testing details.
  2. Your Resume outlining three year’s recent related experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
  3. A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position and on-call, casual work (i.e. days of the week).
