Full-time, permanent (100% onsite)

Reports to:

VP, HR

Qualifications:
  • University Degree or Human Resource Management Certificate
  • Must pass controlled goods security assessment
Role Overview:

The Human Resources Manager leads a team of professionals to ensure the seamless operation of HR functions. This role oversees talent acquisition, onboarding, training and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, pension administration, employee and labor relations, organizational effectiveness, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. It involves strategic leadership, policy alignment, and fostering a high-performance, engaged workplace culture.

Experience & Skills:
  • 5+ years of progressive HR and labor relations experience, with at least 4 years in management
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the VP, HR to drive strategic initiatives, manage budgets, and align HR policies with business objectives
  • Advise management on performance management, training, development, and organizational design
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and pension administration, collaborating with Finance for payroll accuracy and salary forecasting
  • Develop recruitment strategies and promote DEI and cultural initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices
  • Lead HR audits and reporting for accuracy and compliance
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights to enhance employee engagement and retention
Additional Requirements:
  • Registration with the Controlled Goods Program is mandatory for handling controlled goods in Canada
  • Must be a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen
