A Staff UX Designer is an advanced individual contributor with a broad sphere of influence, expected to lead design initiatives both directly and through other designers. They serve as visionaries, strategists, and mentors within the design team, shaping product direction, influencing organisational decisions, and driving user-centred innovation at scale.
You thrive in ambiguity, excel at solving complex problems, and lead through expertise and influence rather than authority. You bring deep experience in UX strategy, interaction design, and systems thinking, with a passion for creating intuitive, trustworthy, and effective AI and agentic experiences. You are equally comfortable defining long-term experience vision, guiding product strategy, mentoring other designers, and partnering with Product and Engineering leaders to deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes.
NOTE: Candidate must reside in Canada.
You'll have the opportunity to define the next generation of AI and agentic experiences that help customers solve complex investigative and operational challenges. Also, you will work alongside Product and Engineering leaders as a strategic partner, influencing company direction while remaining deeply connected to customer needs.
As a Staff UX Designer, you'll shape experiences that span products, teams, and emerging technologies while helping establish Magnet's vision for trustworthy, effective AI. You'll join a collaborative culture that values innovation, continuous learning, and user-centred design, giving you the opportunity to create meaningful impact at both product and organisational scale.
