What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a seasoned Engineer with a minimum of 5 to 18 years of technical experience. A strong foundation in architecting and designing enterprise software or cloud services using HTML and Typescript is required. You will leverage your expertise in web development, browser technologies, and software architecture to design, implement, and maintain robust, high-performance, scalable software systems.

Role

As a key member of the Horizon Remote Experience Engineering team, you will assume technical leadership in designing and developing critical architectural components, including AI and ML integration. Your ownership includes engineering initiatives that enable intelligent virtual desktops and applications, fostering high responsibility, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence. You will contribute to the evolution of AI-powered solutions for hybrid workspaces and end-user experience.

  • Collaborate across product and component teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert with deep expertise in our data pipeline and platform.
  • Engage with product management and cross-functional teams to define and deliver solutions.
  • Participate in all software development phases : requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Drive product deployments across platforms such as VMware vSphere and public clouds (Azure, AWS, etc.).
What will you bring to Omnissa?
  • Ownership of product architecture, design, quality, UX, and security, including AI / ML integration for intelligent VDI.
  • Experience developing web applications for VDI environments across browsers.
  • Ability to debug complex problems and analyze crash dumps.
  • Proficiency developing web applications primarily with HTML and Typescript.
  • Ability to analyze complex tasks requiring in-depth evaluation.
  • Capability to manage activities to meet delivery dates and milestones and communicate status and risks to engineering leads and project teams.
  • Experience implementing and improving processes around DevOps, Agile, and CI / CD.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Git, Perforce, JIRA, and Jenkins.
  • Responsive to customer and product asks, prioritizing engineering work as needed.
  • Participation in daily engineering activities : stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, architectural reviews, customer support, and release readiness.
  • Regular communication with product management and release teams; collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies to meet product delivery and customer commitments.
  • Coordinate with the support team to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Identify new areas for improvement in products, tools, and processes.
  • Foster a culture of high ownership and continuous engineering excellence.
