Job summary

Albert Bow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Platform team. The ideal candidate has 7–8+ years backend engineering experience, with a focus on building APIs and complex integrations.

You will contribute to 0→1 product development and scale systems, while maintaining strong ownership in a fast-growing startup. This role is fully remote with openness to US, Canada, and Western Europe, prioritizing overlap with ET hours.

I’m working with a fast-growing Series B AI company that’s looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join its Platform team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has spent most of their career in high-growth Series A–C startups, enjoys high ownership, and has experience building products and backend systems from 0 → 1 and then scaling them.

They’re especially interested in engineers with:

• 7–8+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience
• Experience building APIs and complex third-party integrations
• 0→1 product development and scaling experience
• Startup environments where you’ve had broad technical ownership
• Strong communication and experience working directly with clients or non-technical stakeholders

Founder or Founding Engineer experience is a big plus.

Fully remote — open to candidates in the US, Canada, and Western Europe, with preference for strong overlap with ET hours.

The company recently raised a $30M Series B, is growing 3x YoY, and is still small enough that this person will have meaningful influence over technical architecture and the direction of the platform.
