Job description

The Staff Software Engineer is responsible for leading the team that supports and enhances the code base used for the company's administrative and reporting tools. They are responsible for all development practices for the web and services (integration) platform. The role involves leading the implementation of the full-stack web experience and working closely with the UX/UI department to shape the technical vision for our products. The engineer will collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers to deliver effective tools and products, identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, and lead, coach, and train a team of full-stack developers.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and manage the implementation of overall product and service integration architecture.
  2. Prioritize and manage development efforts to fulfill product feature requests promptly.
  3. Define and design architecture and solutions in collaboration with enterprise architects and the Software Engineering Manager to create scalable and robust web applications.
  4. Create technical specifications and test plans.
  5. Write, translate, and execute automation scripts to test, maintain, and monitor solutions, working with DevOps to transition software into production.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 7 years of enterprise web development experience, including at least 3 years leading software development teams.
  2. Strong understanding of the enterprise technology stack.
  3. Proven ability to apply technology solutions to business problems.
  4. Extensive experience in SQL performance tuning.
  5. Hands-on experience with all layers of the development stack, including Java EE backend and Angular frontend.
  6. Ability to articulate and explain technical solutions to stakeholders.
