About The Role

We seek a Staff Software Developer to lead the development of Leap, our quantum-classical Hybrid Services platform. This senior role requires deep technical expertise, ownership, mentorship, and problem-solving at scale.

As a key team member, you will influence platform architecture, drive initiatives, and guide engineering for hybrid applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring developers as we enhance Leap.

What You'll Do

  • Design and deliver core components of the Hybrid platform focusing on scalability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Engage in the full SDLC for Leap features, from requirements to maintenance
  • Promote best practices in engineering, operations, testing, and observability
  • Resolve high-impact system issues in production
  • Lead code reviews, design discussions, and mentor team members
  • Improve CI/CD and cloud-native practices
  • Optimize performance and scalability
  • Contribute to product decisions, processes, and roadmaps
  • Participate in annual Hackathon for innovation

About You

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 8+ years in software development, with 2-3 years in leadership roles
  • Proficiency in Python and another language (preferably compiled)
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud environments (AWS preferred)
  • Strong debugging and performance skills
  • Mentorship skills and ability to elevate team capability
  • Excellent communication and collaboration
  • Interest in quantum computing (experience not required)
